Missions
"He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well.
'Is that not what it means to know me?' declares the LORD."
Jeremiah 22:16
The church has a strong mission-outreach program. In addition to supporting traditional United Methodist mission programs, Christ United Methodist Church conducts a local mission program. This is funded by a church tithe. One-tenth of all general donations are designated for the Tithing Fund, which serves a wide variety of community and area needs. In addition, CUMC has been involved in short term mission projects abroad and to other areas of our country, and supports a missionary in South America. The church also supports collections for the local area food shelf, women's shelters, needed items for homeless housing, and other local needs.
